When We Screw Up, Better to Fess Up, Before Judgement Hits
Mankind was not created to live life outside the rules and regulations of God’s commandments. When we go outside of the commandments of God, bad things happen to us. In the old testament before Jesus walked the earth, God’s people Israel did great until they started acting up. They would start following other gods, start lying, and killing, worshipping idols, etc. (Exodus 32:9). There would always be the hand of correction by God in some way to let them know, hey your screwing up. God always gives us a chance to repent before judgement begins to flex on us (some bad seeds sown, will still produce a harvest even after repentance). The Lord wants us to realize when we are messing up, and then ask for forgiveness, which will stay the hand of judgement. This is the doable way with Almighty God. He knows we have the propensity to sin, so He is very merciful and forgiving. It’s when we act like we did nothing wrong, but the Lord sees all we do in secret. The protective care of God, the root of character, the foundation of all happiness, and the adjustment to all in-harmonious circumstances and conditions is only experienced through the obedience of the commandments of God. Our love for God is demonstrated by keeping His commandments, and His commandments are not grievous to obey, and to keep (1 John 5:3).
