The Pure in Heart, Could That be You?

The pure in heart shall see God, is our text for today. When our hearts are pure, it’s because of the heart change of the new birth when we became Christians. We start pure and clean in the beginning. Without finding out who we are in Christ Jesus we’re kind of running amok in the dark with unrealized potential because of our lack of knowledge. Obeying God’s teachings and precepts puts us in the category of the real time love walk (John 14:15). Since God is love and we are His children, it is expected for us to take on that part of our father’s nature (1 John 4:7-8). Love is the ultimate key in seeing God. We will never see him with these physical eyes, it would kill us, we’d burn up in His presence (Exodus 33:20). Our bodies are not made to handle that part of God’s manifested presence yet. Once we’re in our glorified bodies (1 Corinthians 15:40) we will see Him face to face as He has said (1 Corinthians 13:12 NLT). We can see God now on planet earth by soaking ourselves in the study of God’s word, meditating day and night on it (Joshua 1:8). He can and will become very real to us by His Holy Spirit giving us revelation knowledge of Himself through study. The pure in heart will see God in every way he wants to.
