The fool challenges the wise
“He who walks [as a companion] with wise men is wise, but he who associates with [self-confident] fools is [a fool himself and] shall smart for it.” We are all subject to being influenced. We must have a foundation of stability in God. Our associations can play a big part in who we are. Being around wise people that have good character and integrity, keeps us on the wisdom trail. Hanging around with a foolish person all the time brings unwanted realities of stupidity. We are like computers ready to be programmed. So program yourself with the word of God. God’s teachings and precepts keep us on the straight and narrow road of guaranteed victory over every storm of life. We have God’s word of safety. We have His word on His supplying our needs. Spend quality time with the Lord and you’ll be influenced in a way that only yields a victorious lifestyle. We walk by faith, not by sight, and to be led by our spirit and not our flesh keeps the door closed from unnecessary trouble. It is the fool that says in his heart there is no God (Psalm 14:1). Walk with the King and be a blessing.
