I Heard You, but I Don’t Know What You’re Talking About

Many times we hear what a person said, but we don’t hear what they meant. Some people seem to have selective hearing, they hear only what they want to. Not everyone has ears to hear what was said, and what was meant to be understood. Today’s scripture verse is Jesus speaking to His disciples about the parable of seed planting. 30, 60, and 100 fold returns on our seed planting of the word of God. In this verse He was teaching the disciples by way of a parable. He was not explaining in plain terms so He tags the parable by saying, he who has ears to hear, let them hear. As we stay tuned into what the Lord is speaking in our hearts, as well as what the written word of God says, we will have ears to hear and understand any and every parable, or example of teaching. Having ears to ear isn’t intended for only our natural ear but our spiritual ear as well. The eyes of our understanding must be enlightened by the hope of glory. Jesus is the hope of glory that can bring revelation knowledge to all natural things concerning our life. It is vitally important to have that close fellowship with God so if He sees something coming against you down the road of your future, you will have ears to hear His instructions to avoid that. We can hear what was said, but did you really understand what was meant.
