Hurry up and wait!
Waiting on the Lord has many benefits. The bible says, wait on the Lord and He will renew your strength. Waiting on the Lord is actually an action without motion. Our expectation is built on the reality of God’s manifested word in our life. This takes seed, time, and then harvest. Planting seeds of whatever we’re desires of, must be watered with thanksgiving, and then confessed into reality based on the word of God’s patience. Harvesting anything to come to pass takes time, or you could say constant perseverance in waiting. Everyone being different means some of us are more patient in nature than others. It’s a training exercise without movement. It’s a time of getting better acquainted with the Lord. Studying His word will build patience in our human spirits. God’s word is spirit and it is life, it is a living entity that is alive, sharper than any two edged sword ready to divide asunder the bone and marrow of our make up. Many times during our private fellowship with the Lord He will instill in us what we need to help us trust Him. He knows without patience we can’t receive from Him. We’d be gone from the place of blessing before He’s able to drop it into our laps. Through faith and patience we obtain the promises of God (Hebrews 6:12). Trust the word of God on every level, and watch Him do for you what He can’t for others who won’t work His word.
