Even Jesus Had to Approach God in Reverent Submission to Get Answers to His Prayers
During the days of Jesus’ life on earth , He offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person makes tremendous progress in its working (James 5:16). Even Jesus’ was heard not because of His relationship with God, but because of His reverent submission, our own children should have a reverent submission towards us when they approach us, with respect and honor as they should. Pride in a person will block their prayers from the Lord’s ears. Our humility has great value to God. The Bible speaks of entering His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise (Psalm 100:4), a prideful person won’t do that effectively or want to at all). There are many references on how to approach God. We live under a prideful arrogant, ornery fallen world system. To not have some of those demonic influences attached to us, there must be the presence of God in our lives. This is why daily prayer and meditation in the word of God are so vital. Jesus offered up prayers and petitions to the One who could save His life. Even Jesus had to play by the rules of faith. Our faith is the only connection we have with God in this natural realm. We get answers with our faith, we overcome the storms of life by our faith in trusting God. We get saved by faith in believing it’s going to come to pass. There are many voices in this world but God is always listening for the voice of faith on the lips of His children.
