May as Well Fess Up, He Knows Our Thoughts Anyway
David is telling the Lord to search his heart to see if there is any wicked or hurt way about himself. To ask this of God means you’re truly trying to do the right thing. Most of us run and hide when we screw up, we don’t want anyone to know what we did. This mentality of David speaks volumes of him wanting all wrong doings of wickedness or offensive motives against God, out of his life. The Lord knows we’re not perfect and He sees us when we mess up. That’s why in 1 John 1:9 it is written to christians not sinners, because we still have the propensity to screw up. We are not perfect until we shed these earthen vessels transitioning into the next life. The Lord knows all things about us, because He is omniscient. David even had the nerve to ask God to try him, and know his thoughts. That’s one area from time to time, I’d rather the Lord not look at, but thank God for the blood of Jesus. Eventually we can get to the point of asking God to try us (test us), and see if there’s any wicked or hurtful way in us. Then the pride problem which would stop us from asking the Lord to look at our ugliness will have been eradicated. Can we join David and say, search me on God and know my heart?

Smile, You’re Shining Bright
Those who are wise shall shine as bright as the sky above. Teachers and preachers are carrying this light to be shed abroad throughout the earth and into the next life. The light that shines in our hearts because of the presence of God, can be brighter. There is no limit in God, with anything we put our hands on. We have the Midas touch of prosperity ready to be unleashed. Having the wisdom of God built up in us, keeps us on the straight and narrow road of success. If we don’t operate with wisdom, if we are not wise, we cannot have God’s best. The knowledge of God is vital to our development, but without the proper allocation of knowledge by wisdom’s hand we could get puffed up and pride will take over. Shining for the Lord does not work through a prideful soul, the pride will render helpless our ability to shine for Jesus with a true, and pure light. Our witness for the Lord is a very precious thing to Him. It must be done in excellence and as unto the Lord, not man. When persecution comes our stability in love and self-control should kick in. Finishing our course and fulfilling our God given purpose is all that really matters in this life. What we have by way of gifts and talents is necessary for someone else’s success, and their gifts and talents are to serve us. You become attractive when the anointing of God is on you. His glory becomes our demeanor even when we’re not aware of it. Smile, you’re shining bright.

The Deeper Walk
To build ourselves up on our most holy faith, is to make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher according to today’s text. To do this we must have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues, in your heavenly language. It has been said, it is the language of the Angels. It is a gift from God for everyone in His family who will ask for it, and you will freely receive. Speaking in tongues builds is up in faith. It strengthens us when we must act in faith believing without any other answer to the problem. Speaking in tongues is praying the perfect will of God back to Him. When the Lord hears His word being prayed back to Him, He’ll go past a million people to get to you with the answer. Sometimes we don’t know how to pray properly when we’re in a crisis. Praying in our heavenly language is like a direct link to God’s ears that moves Him in a more specific way through the mess of our bad situations. Staying built up in the Lord is always a great idea since we never know when life’s storms are coming. We must guard and keep ourselves in the love of God, waiting patiently on Him and keeping in step with His Spirit.

Put Your Trust in God, Where it Belongs
Whenever we become afraid that’s when we put our trust in the Lord like David did. David had a great relationship with the Lord for many years. That relationship over time produced a trust between David and God. Trust can take time when starting a new relationship or continuing one that’s been violated. Trust in God will never disappoint. Once our confidence begins to grow in trusting the Lord, we begin to operate in great faith opposed to little faith. Little faith will get you to heaven, but great faith will bring heaven to you. We need heaven’s help here and now. Once our purpose is fulfilled on earth and we transition to heaven, we want to hear, “Well done good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord”. There is no comparison between the fears, and troubles we experience in this life once the Glory of God is revealed in us (Romans 8:18). The fears we experience on planet earth come from a place of the unknown, (because we can’t see what’s coming). But if we exchanged that fear with the knowledge of the word of God, fear would not have an impact on us. Knowing God has our backs no matter how bad things look and get, and you are standing on the promises of God, fear will leave. The spirit of fear looks for the weak in faith. It knows if it can keep us wrapped up in drama, and strife, your love walk will be kept at bay. And since faith works by love, fear can and will come uncontested right into your life, especially if you’re hating on someone. But God has given us the Spirit of power, of love, and a clear thinking mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Put your trust in God where it belongs.

The Power to Believe Moves the Hand of God
If God is for us, who can successfully be against us. Some translations read, “Since God is for us who can be against us”. I prefer the latter, it makes my faith dance a little inside knowing God has my back. If He said it, if I find it in His bible, that’s enough for me to trust Him, He doesn’t waste words. All security is built on trust. Trust that the alarm system works in your home, because the company told you and you believed it, and it does. The promises of the Lord are no different, but you must trust first before you see results. If you can continue believing without alarm, God’s forcefield around you will be intact. It will be kept turned on by your continued trust He’ll take care of you no matter what comes. God is for us and He’s made us strong in Himself and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10). It is at our disposal if we can believe it, and then stay in faith believing. Our fears are based on lack of knowledge and faith. Once we understand a thing the mystery of it has been taken away. Once we start allocating the knowledge of that thing, we can believe in faith more easily towards our desired results. The power of belief (Faith), is a powerful entity backed by God, and propelled by a confident favorable expectation, which is hope. Jesus the hope of glory has destroyed all the works of the devil. Once we understand his tactics, which is to use our authority on earth against us, through negative confessions and then we act on them, bad for us. Satan knows the power of belief, do you?

There’s Hope for Unchurched Charlie
This world needs to see the church and the Lord’s gospel through us. Some people may never go to church, but they should be able to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives through the children of God. The only church service some people will ever see is the one you exemplify in your daily life, because they are watching us. We are the salt of the land, the preservatives that keep the good in this world culture from totally deteriorating. It’s going down and that’s to be expected since sin is abounding, as written, but grace in us is abounding much more (Romans 5:20). We can measure God’s great love in us by our obedience to His word. A father will totally trust his son, only after proper training has been given. Then that training must be tested by fierce opposition which will make concrete the word of God in our hearts, able to stand up to anything and everything that comes. God’s love has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit at the new birth experience. We can be like God in our everyday lives because we are the children of God! This world does not recognize us when we’re walking in agape love, because it does not recognize God, or know His ways.

There’s a Privilege Available to Become a Child of God, But it Doesn’t Just Happen for You
It is a privilege to become a child of God. God gives this privilege, this right to as many as would receive and welcome Him. He’s giving us the authority to become His children as if the Halls of Justice would never allow us to have any authority without the blood of Jesus, which is the case. The message goes out to every human being that you have been accepted in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:5-7). It is by the Lord’s grace we have been given back our authority in the earth and the authority to be received as God’s own children through the blood of Jesus. The Lord gives us faith to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior of our lives. But once we are saved, we have become children of God, we must by the things we suffer learn obedience and grow in faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). The same way our faith in God got us into the family of God, faith will cause us to soar above our circumstances and troubles. We can do All things through Christ Who strengthens us. We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. Become God’s favorite child, make yourself more valuable to Him while still here on earth. Get His word in you to the point all the devil sees is Jesus instead of you. Then you’re a true son of God.

A Mouth Full About the Next Life, Don’t Miss It
There’s coming a day when the Lord shall be King over all the earth. Right now He is the Three in One, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Once this world comes to an end, God will be setting up camp down here (Revelation 21:2). The ones who accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives under the present conditions of this world, with all the temptations, will be with Him. There will be no more need for the Three in One Godhead because the work on this fallen planet will be done. No more need for the Son to come again in physical form to experience mankind under this fallen world. No need for the ministry of the Holy Spirit because in our new glorified bodies we will be together physically, opposed to Him living in us helping us under the present conditions of this demonic, dark world. When God becomes one Being, there will be a theocracy ruled world, which means God’s running things, and not the devil (Satan has legal authority for now). There won’t be any more crying, hurt, pain, or death, (Revelation 21:4) the former things will have passed away. No need for physical healing or health concerns because all the stuff that hurts us, gets us sick, and the propensity for bad relationships will no longer exist. In this life we live in a fallen state due to sin, habitually doing wrong from birth. That life will be behind us once the Lord is King over all the earth. It’s coming, so get ready, or get saved so you don’t miss the boat.

Doing Good and Sharing with Others is Our Portion as Christians
It can be a sacrifice at times to do good for someone when we are preoccupied with something of great importance. It is a sacrifice at times to do good to others when we don’t feel like it, (which means, in that moment, your flesh is in control). To neglect being generous and to contribute to the needy is not pleasing to the Lord concerning this commandment in today’s text. To lend to the poor is to lend to the Lord (Proverbs 19:17), and God Himself will repay you. The less fortunate, and poor are a high concern for the Lord. Even in the old testament God told the Israelites to leave extra food out, and available for the poor and the sojourners that may pass by where Israel was camped during the wilderness experience. Many of the commandments of the Lord are predicated upon us understanding and obeying His word by living it everyday. The more we live the word of God, by obeying His commandments, the easier it is to walk in many of the areas necessary for victorious living. Do good and share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
