The advantages of living a Godly life can only be lived not explained. To try explaining what it’s like with our natural minds, would be a disservice to the Lord who lives in the supernatural realm. To live a Godly life is showing God you want to be like Him. Any parent seeing their child imitating things of importance that they do, makes the parent want to help that child more so. Our Father in heaven demonstrated that standard in the way He dealt with Jesus during His time on earth. Father God wants to bestow His divine power upon us in all things that pertain to living a Godly life. The advantages of living a Godly life is similar to inside help from the higher up people like Senators, Governors, Presidents and Kings. These positions in life have the power to allow us to fulfill our God given purpose, and destiny in life or block it. Living a Godly life gives us access to unlock the roadblocks of life. The Godly life brings along with it God’s grace and favor. These two attributes of God can get us through anything and help us deal with everything. Living this Godly life causes us to live above the evil in this world. You will be more resistant to the temptations that trapped you so easily before. So do the work of learning how to walk in Godliness. Put that knowledge into action in your everyday life, especially while dealing with the struggles of life as it is today..

The Lord is depicted in today’s text as the Mighty Warrior who saves. We have an enemy who hates the people of God. Satan was the fallen angel Lucifer, God’s right hand man (Angel) in heaven long ago. We need saving from the works of the devil. This world has been demonically motivated since the fall in the Garden. The Lord has corrected things on our behalf to restore right standing with God and the returning of our authority in the earth over Satan and his works. Problem is, we just don’t know who we are in Christ Jesus. Once we begin to learn who we truly are in Christ, there will be a new sheriff in town, packing the Sword of the Spirit ready for battle. God is with us at all times. He is waiting on our knowledge of Him to kick in, and for us to begin acting on that knowledge to release His power against our enemies. Our enemies are always the ones behind mankind pushing their agenda influencing us to do wrong. That’s why we fight according to our faith in God. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, (natural) but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We need the Mighty Warrior fighting on our behalf to make the fight fair for us to win. Physically going in to fight is not the way to beat principalities, and powers of the air, evil spirits, demons, etc. Nor coming against the person being used by the real enemy. Learn of God, live for Him, and fight the good fight of faith, because we always win.

‭It’s great when someone tells you they are perfect for the job, but the proof is always in the pudding, as they say. Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. This is our word for today which can be a good vetting process before accepting someone for a job. Many people have great lip service when it comes to advertising their worth or job experience. But in reality there is a serious deficit in their character and integrity. When we approach any job of any kind, we should be coming from a place of humility that comes from wisdom. If wisdom isn’t in the mix of our make-up, we can lose control of the humility that guides and guards us from unnecessary temptations leading to wrong doings. The wise and understanding among you should have these attributes in place. Dealing with people in general requires humility and a lot of self discipline, and self control. We need the wisdom and understanding of the parents that are raising two or three children, and treat them each individually according to the child’s personality and make-up. If those in authority don’t have this basic wisdom in place, strife is at the door. Sometimes it’s better to wait for the right person than filling the position with someone who gave a great performance during the job interview but has zero depth of character or humility for the job. Job placement comes from the Lord, so try having the patience to wait for God’s man or woman to arrive.

To reference the Lord, to have reverential fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Gaining knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. We can have understanding in many different areas of life simply by learning about, and acting upon the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Life takes on a whole new meaning, literally after the renewing of our minds with God’s word, the Bible. We can have all the knowledge in the world but without wisdom, it could never be allocated properly. Much knowledge can puff us up, watch your pride meter, don’t let it go in the red (1 Corinthians 8:1). Many Christians try cramming the knowledge of the Gospel down people’s throats without using wisdom. First off, you’ll probably scare them off because too much deep knowledge in a subject can make people uncomfortable. Wisdom will break it down so they can chew on the information as they take it in. Wisdom guides the hand of knowledge and breathes the truth of life with accuracy until full understanding comes to the recipient. We begin to fear the Lord as we learn of Him and walk in close fellowship with Him daily. We begin to understand more about Jesus through the knowledge of the gospel. Everything needed for life and Godliness has been provided in Christ. Jesus has been made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption (1 Corinthians 1:30). Fearing the Lord is a smart idea, wisdom and knowledge bring victorious living to all who are willing to walk in it.

The word for today says lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. That’s a pretty tall order from the Lord to us, it would seem. If He’s saying it, we have the where with all to do it, with His help. The first step in acknowledging God in all of our ways, is to understand His word, how He operates so we can get on board with the program. After obtaining the knowledge to renew our minds, to reprogram our behavior and thought patterns, (the Lord must be involved) we will trust the Lord more easily. How can you trust someone you don’t really know well, I wouldn’t. Get to know the Lord for yourself, not by what your grandma told you about Him. It’s a personal relationship we must have, and once we’ve walked through the door of salvation, it’s time to renew our minds with the word of God. Getting into a habit of acknowledging the Lord and keeping Him involved with everything we do in life, before we do it. Bring every thought into subjection to God’s word once it enters your mind (2 Corinthians 10:5). If that thought doesn’t agree with love’s way, and our right standing with God, or the peace of God you’ve discovered, reject it, and don’t allow that bad thought to express itself through your behavior. Our own understanding can be shaky at times, not full proof. The standard of God’s word working in the faith believing Christian has a stability in the Lord that keeps our hearts and minds stable in Christ.

We are given a command not to have anxiety about anything, why, because God is taking care of everything. Worry is married to, and connected with the crazy gene, who is connected to sister OMG, who hangs out with drama folk number one. How can we expect peace in our lives hanging out with rowdy people.The Lord will keep those in perfect peace whose minds are stayed on, and are totally trusting in Him (Isaiah 26:3). As we meditate in His word day and night, we will make our own way prosperous (Joshua 1:8). The more revelation knowledge about God we obtain, the easier it becomes to trust God, the easier it becomes to trust God, the more we relax into the position of the peace of God that passes all understanding. It keeps our hearts and minds settled in Christ Jesus. The tranquil state of our souls becomes more evident. By the revelation knowledge of our salvation, and our personal relationship, and fellowship with the Lord, we have heart and soul peace in knowing, when we die, we’re going up. That issue bothers most people to no end that don’t know the Lord. Jesus is the Prince of Peace, so how much peace on earth can you expect to have without Him (Isaiah 9:6). We’re talking peace in the mist of trouble because we know who we serve. Don’t worry about anything, because God’s taking care of everything.

All things are possible to those who believe. That’s a pretty broad statement about everything being possible. Let’s preface that by saying, all things are possible concerning God’s way of living on planet earth. All things being possible would not include the successful robbing of a bank. Being kept in the context of Kingdom living, we have the ability to believe for the impossible only when we have faith in God. Abraham had faith in God that, when he offered up his son Isaac as a sacrifice to God (as per God), he knew if he killed his son God could and would raise Isaac from the dead. That’s knowing everything is possible to those who believe. We start trusting God for little things first, maybe a close parking space at the store. Or trusting the Lord for that new pair of shoes you’ve been wanting. Once we have enough small victories in believing and receiving, we then can trust God for those times when our finances get a little lean or our health becomes challenged with sickness or disease. A new baby christian may not be ready to trust God for the bigger things yet because they haven’t grown up enough in God’s word, which will keep them steady while waiting for the promise to manifest. By faith and patience we obtain the promises of God (Hebrews 6:12). Most people have faith, it’s the waiting that can be very trying. We have been created by Almighty God in His image and likeness. He speaks, and things happen. He set the greatest example of faith in the beginning. God said, “Let there be light”, and there was light (Genesis 1:3). He could have thought creation into being but by using the power of confession, life was born on earth. We are His children, we are supernatural by our spiritual nature. The works of the devil have been destroyed by Jesus, so walk in the supernatural and believe God for everything to work out for your good.

Some Christians are so heavenly minded they are no earthly good. The verse today says set your minds on things above not earthly things. There must be balance in everything we do. Most Christians have their minds mostly set on earthly things due to many different reasons. Herein lies the good fight of faith which is happening everyday of our lives. The natural human nature against the spiritual makeup of our being. We are a spirit first, we have a soul, and we live in a body. We are three part beings just like the one who created us (Genesis 1:26). After the fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden, we became earthly minded only. We were spiritually dead to God. After the work at Calvary we now have the opportunity to become alive in spirit to God again. Now we can set our minds on things above which would be in line with renewing our minds with God’s word. Setting our minds on things above comes as we make it happen. It’s an everyday practice to work towards each day. Since we live under a demonically ruled world system, we are constantly being bombarded with everything that is against God’s way of living. We must invoke our will to set and keep our minds on things above. Those things above have everything to do with Kingdom living. Living for Jesus puts your life on a whole other level for abundant life. We must go after this training of our minds to reprogram certain habits and thought patterns that need to be broken and set free to be led by our spirits not our flesh, not our emotions. By renewing our minds with God’s word, we begin to change our behavior into that which is pleasing to the Lord. Think on things above and you’ll raise the standard of your life.

‭The name of Jesus is the only name under heaven by and in which we must be saved. In other words, the only way to get to heaven is by the name of Jesus. He earned the name above every name by destroying the works of the devil. He went into hell to carry our sins and leave them there. He took the punishment for all the sin of the world, and gave Satan the holy beat down from heaven. He took the keys (authority) of death and hell, and has figuratively in a spiritual way, given them to us His body, the Body of Christ. We now have the authority on the earth again since Adam and Eve. We can choose to live above this evil world system the devil has set up against mankind. The Son of God has gone through the necessary steps of satisfying justice, and returning right standing with God to all who choose Him. He is the only way into heaven and we must invoke our will consciously and verbally to receive him as Lord and Savior of our lives. Salvation is found in no one else and this salvation saved us from eternal damnation. God’s punishment is for all who don’t receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their life here and now before your death on earth. Yeah, it’s like that. God speaking slang; “You mean, I’mma let my boy die on the cross, for your sins, hanging up there naked and shamed, and you’re refusing His invite to save you from the horrors of the next life without Me, you have no idea what’s coming, get it right before it’s too late”. It’s always your choice, and that can be a potential problem beyond imagination, choose life.

‭Giving thanks in all circumstances takes some getting used to. When we are pressed to pay our bills and barely make ends meet, we’re not going to be naturally thinking, oh I’m going to bless God now. Giving thanks during trails and storms of life demonstrates our faith in believing in God to deliver us. It takes repetition to form a habit, and no matter what your circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks to the Lord before you have the answer to your prayers. This generates and pulsates the energy of faith unto manifestation. If necessary a miracle can form, and drop in your lap because you believed through hell and high water, and you never gave up. The revealer and mediator of God’s will, Jesus, has laid out the plan for receiving from God. Following this plan of redemption and deliverance will allow us to be free from the habitual bad habits that block our faith from working. Primarily, Jesus destroyed the works of the devil that rules this world system so we can be free to choose a new way of life.We can have a life free from habitual sin operating in us and from keeping us in the matrix of a false Christian reality. Using this new way of living based on the Bible, opens up the truth of God’s will for us. Following God’s truth and His way of reality causes us to live above the evil in this world. Giving thanks in all circumstances is the beginning of your deliverance, so give thanks to the Lord for His way of life on planet earth, and then walk in it.
