    Guard Your Hearts Today

Our hearts have the potential to create whatever our mouths speak in faith with true belief. The springs of life flow out from our hearts according to today’s verse. Once we have studied to show ourselves approved by God (2 Timothy 2:15), and the words of God’s teachings and precepts have become our traveling partners, you have great value. Great value is when you’ve spoken the words necessary to bring healing to someone’s body. You’ve spoken the right words from your heart, to bring deliverance to someone in bondage. God’s words flowing from our hearts are the springs of life. No word from God is void of power (Isaiah 55:11). God’s words are spirit and they are life (John 6:63). God’s word is sharper than any two edged sword ready to deal with the storms of life (Hebrews 4:12). Guarding our hearts is vitally important to our faith. Our faith can be negatively affected by hearing too much of the wrong stuff. Watch the friends you hang around; their words of fear, worry, and doubt will weaken your faith. Guard your heart by monitoring what comes to your ear gate. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). But what we hear in opposition to God’s words will damage our faith to believe God properly. Your springs of life must remain pure from the source.

Take Every Thought Captive, is It Legit, or Trouble in Disguise?

All arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God should be demolished by God’s family members. It’s like you’re letting someone talk down about your father or mother, we won’t have it. We are the mouth piece for God on the earth. He cannot verbally defend Himself, that’s our job as Christians who love the Lord. This will require us taking every thought we have captive and bringing it into obedience to Christ. We can do this by having an understanding of God’s word well enough to know what’s good and what’s not in God’s eyes. Unless we know God for ourselves there’s no strong witness from us that makes a difference in other’s lives. The Lord has stated, “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). We must renew our minds with the word of God. We have the mind of Christ and can operate the mind of Christ in our everyday lives (1 Corinthians 2:16). Thoughts can become strongholds, and strongholds can become bondage leading to an open door for mind binding spirits to wreak havoc in your life. The fight starts in our head but we win by the confession of God’s word out of our mouths. Deal with every thought so it doesn’t spread.

When We Screw Up, Better to Fess Up, Before Judgement Hits

Mankind was not created to live life outside the rules and regulations of God’s commandments. When we go outside of the commandments of God, bad things happen to us. In the old testament before Jesus walked the earth, God’s people Israel did great until they started acting up. They would start following other gods, start lying, and killing, worshipping idols, etc. (Exodus 32:9). There would always be the hand of correction by God in some way to let them know, hey your screwing up. God always gives us a chance to repent before judgement begins to flex on us (some bad seeds sown, will still produce a harvest even after repentance). The Lord wants us to realize when we are messing up, and then ask for forgiveness, which will stay the hand of judgement. This is the doable way with Almighty God. He knows we have the propensity to sin, so He is very merciful and forgiving. It’s when we act like we did nothing wrong, but the Lord sees all we do in secret. The protective care of God, the root of character, the foundation of all happiness, and the adjustment to all in-harmonious circumstances and conditions is only experienced through the obedience of the commandments of God. Our love for God is demonstrated by keeping His commandments, and His commandments are not grievous to obey, and to keep (1 John 5:3).

Take The Opportunity to Do Good to All

When we have an opportunity, we should do good to all people. Even just for the sake of spreading some good vibes. There’s enough bad vibes around everyday. Being mindful to be a blessing makes it more likely that we will be a blessing. Especially to those who belong to the family of believers. We are the peace makers, the salt of the earth, and the light for the world which resides in us (Matthew 5:13-14). Christians are the ones who are to set the example of doing good. Jesus did good to all and went about healing the sick, casting out demons, and most importantly He spread the good news of the Gospel (Acts 10:38). Doing good to all can be expected from the mature faith believing Christian who gets it. Today’s scripture is about doing good to all, showing it by spreading the good news of Jesus is the best illustration. He is the ultimate expression of doing good to all. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of lights in whom there is no shadow of turning (James 1:17). We are God’s good and perfect gift to this spiritually dead to God world, full of death doomed people (hell bound). Be that good gift, share the gospel to all.

Can You Deny Yourself, and Live for Another?

If the Lord asks you to disregard, lose sight of, and to forget yourself and your own interests, would you do it? It’s not about the ability to do it, your obedience in saying yes causes strength to come. Once we say yes to the Lord ability comes many times afterwards. Our obedience to the Lord can cause us to materialize in our lives gifts and talents we never knew we had (I never planned to be an author). Being a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ is a sacrifice, it ain’t easy. When your thoughts and love for this world are out of control, it’s harder to let go and let God take over. At first it is work, with lots of trials and errors before finding your groove. But God will give us the strength to walk this walk for victorious living. Once we understand by the renewing of our minds, God’s basic way of dealing with mankind, we will have a sense of freedom. Especially concerning things church folk along the way have said we can’t do anymore in life. There is more freedom with God than most people think as far as what’s aloud and what’s not. Once you’ve found your God given purpose in life, completely follow that until the end regardless of what others say or think. Take up your cross and follow Jesus today.

Let No One Look Down on Your Youth

Paul is telling Timothy don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young. There are young people out here doing more meaningful and mature things than the older saints. We can judge the fruit of what any person is doing. Look at their behavioral patterns, their motives, and sensitivity to the Spirit of God. Over time a person will show you who they are; what’s in their heart will come out of their mouth (Luke 6:44). Their true self will shine through sooner or later. God’s hand is on many young folk doing what they’re called to do. How they do things may well be very unconventional based on former old school methods, but suits their motive operandi perfectly. The older saints must make room for the younger generation to flex how God uses them in today’s society. The younger generation seems more aggressive by nature which is necessary to deal with the end time demons that have been released for this time period on earth (2 Timothy 3:13). Turn the youth loose! And trust God for the same victory you always get believing God as you were taught.

Sometimes Raw Truth is Best Served Cold

God did not send His only begotten Son into the world to judge, to reject, to condemn, or to pass sentence on the world. But that the world would find salvation through Jesus and become a part of God’s family. Salvation came to mankind over 2000 years ago when Jesus completed His work at Calvary (Mark 16:6). It became possible to not be controlled by sin. Jesus made it possible for mankind to be in right standing with Father God again since Adam and Eve; before they screwed up. Without the work at Calvary every person would die and go to hell along with the one who influenced us to do wrong, the devil. God so loved the world that He sent Jesus the sinless sacrifice to satisfy Justice because of sin in the world (John 3:16). We have no excuse now not to leave the life of wrong doings, and receive the finished work of Calvary and get saved. But we all have free will to choose our own destiny for here and now, and after life on planet earth. Choose Jesus and live forever without hurt, pain, bad relationships, no more tears, or death, and the peace of God that passes all understanding will be our normal experience (Revelation 21:4). Choose life today you’re not judged yet, but you will be for not choosing Jesus before you die (Revelation 20:11-15). Raw truth is best served cold to unpack the seriousness of this subject.

    God’s Unchanging Right Hand

The right hand of God is talked about in the bible as being something we can hold on to when going through trouble. For guidance the right hand of God is to help direct and keep us on the right path in life. The right hand of God achieves strength and is valiant in its way (Psalm 118:16). As we hold on to God’s unchanging hand there’s an unspoken calm internally, an understanding that God will take care of that which concerns us (Psalm 138:8). Even in the mist of a storm the right hand of God will bring you out safely. We have the use of God’s right hand by following His teachings and precepts. We must understand the connection points of how to receive from God. Nothing from God comes on demand from us except by exerting and flexing our faith in expecting God’s help. Like a bulldog on a bone we latch on to God’s right hand (His word) by faith, and never let go of our confession of victory during the storm (Mark 11:24-25). Making sure we don’t have any un-forgiveness in our hearts. Un-forgiveness destroys our faith connection with God and His right hand of strength can’t help us in such cases. Faith works by love, so without the dominance of love in your life, that’s a serious problem. The right hand of God will hold you down and lift you up when needed.

The Righteous Life Has Less Bumps on The Road

We have all done things that are not acceptable in life. We were born into sin and shaped in iniquity (Psalm 51:5). We have all fallen short of the righteousness of God. We may think we’re all that but God’s judgement meter has you in the red. Self righteousness gets you nowhere in this world. Once we start operating under the rules of right standing with God, we become properly separated from this world system and its way of living. Through the redemption provided in Christ, we have been redeemed from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13). We can live a life without the bondage of habitual sin. Even though we still miss the mark at times, and we will because we’re still human. Our bodies still have the sin nature; having not been redeemed yet, we must keep it under control from acting up (1 Corinthians 9:27). Being in right standing with God opens a door of grace and favor into our lives that would not be there otherwise. Think of it this way, once in right standing with God, it’s like having less friction in life, and you know you’re good with God, which is all that really matters.

Are You Ready for The Next Life?

Many people have heard about something called the rapture. It is when God sends His Son (Jesus) back to the earth, but this time it’s to reap the harvest of souls that chose Jesus before the rapture occurs (1 Thessalonians 5:1-6). Jesus is returning at an hour when you do not expect Him. No one knows the day or the hour of His return. The plan of reconciliation by God will be carried out so every person has a opportunity to choose the Lord. After which all who love the Lord will be saved from punishment of sin, justice must be satisfied. The return of Christ is based on the signs of the time, the rapture can occur any day because of world events. In the bible there are direct connections to what was written down and the reality of its existence in the world today, and now. The war in Israel is the last prophecy to be fulfilled in the Bible before the rapture. The return of Christ is inevitable, so are you ready for the next life. You can get ready before it’s too late (Romans 10:9-10).
