‭God has given us a new heart since the work at Calvary. The Stony heart of flesh, has been replaced with, a new spirit in us. Our new recreated human spirits are alive to God, whereas our old Stony hearts of flesh are dead to God. Our hearts had to be changed to not have hostility against God. The old heart of Stony Flesh came about by mankind’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden. We died to God spiritually which would keep us out of heaven after our physical death. But thank God for Jesus our Lord and Savior, who saved us from spending eternity in hell. It doesn’t just happen automatically, you must ask Jesus into your heart to change that old stony heart into a new heart of flesh that’s in right standing with God. We are new creatures in Christ Jesus after the spiritual transition of our hearts from death to life (2 Corinthians 5:17). Old things have passed away, with the renewing of your mind (getting with God’s way of doing things by faith), all things have become new, a fresh beginning and outlook on life. Our minds and bodies are not changed instantly like our human spirits. Our minds will only be changed as we renew it with God’s word. Your body will never be changed until you get to heaven, so keeping it under control is a ministry by itself. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you is the Lord’s promise. All we have to do is accept this precious gift if you haven’t already. The way has been made for your exit plan from earth, take it.

Everything in heaven and earth is God’s, the Kingdom of God is His to oversee, and the functionality of it, is by Him, and Him alone. The earth is the Lord’s and them that dwell in it (Psalm 24:1-2). This world has been placed in turmoil and disarray since the beginning. We’d never think God owned the heavens and earth the way things are here on this planet. Things were not supposed to be as they are today, but mankind dropped the ball in the Garden of Eden, giving the devil, Satan, full LEGAL authority over the earth and everything living in it. I believe if the world wasn’t forced into this fallen state by mankind, there would be no thorns growing along with the roses. The lion would have been able to lie down with the lamb and not eat him. No hurricanes no earthquakes no murder, no wars, no crisis. But here we are today under demonic influences trying to live a Godly life. If we go back to the beginning where Jesus died, was buried, and resurrected, right there is where we’re able to individually change our outcome from being under these demonic influences. For God is the greatness, and the power and the glory and the majesty and the slender. He brought us to a place where we can choose to come from under the demonic rule and reign of the devil, until his time is up. Receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives gets us from under satanic rule. Live on the side of the One who owns this place, who created it and can help us live above the garage in it.

Praying at all times on every occasion, in every season is our way of life. We include God in every task and assignment. We acknowledge Him in all our ways and He directs our path (Proverbs 3:6). Creating the habit of prayer is most important. Our flesh can be very strong at times giving us the message, “I don’t feel like it”. If we based our life on feelings, we’d never know God’s way for victorious living. Our help comes from the Lord. He Is the Mighty One, ready to answer the call of His faithful children who walk by faith and not by their feelings. When praying to God, we must have a confident favorable expectation that He will answer. That’s called faith, and without it, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Our feelings, or how we feel, should never dictate to us not to pray. Do we always feel like praying, the answer is no for most of us. For a deeper dimension of God, there is the gift of the Holy Spirit for speaking in tongues, which prays God’s perfect will back to Him, the language of the Angels. When we don’t know what to pray in a crisis, we pray in the Spirit, praying in tongues, or it’s called praying in the Holy Ghost. It has not passed away, but this world has been fueled by Satan to make us think it’s of the devil or too spooky. It’s very spooky, and it gets the job done when you’re hurting or in serious trouble, it works. We can pray at all times on every occasion from our knowledge of the word of God, and or in tongues, but get God involved now!

The helmet of salvation is amongst the armor of God given to us for battle. We all have a common enemy, the devil. His job is to steal, and kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We are in constant battle with agitating spirits and moral conflicts, which are here to weigh us down spiritually so we’re not thinking of God’s help for us. The helmet of salvation is knowing who you are in Christ Jesus, and being firmly rooted and grounded in our faith of and in the Gospel. When those mind-binding spirits come for you, you should already know what God’s word says about you before they come. You’ll know for yourself by renewing your mind with God’s word, that they are lying about you in your mind. Don’t take the bait. We have the mind of Christ, and should be exercising the mind of Christ in our everyday life and affairs (1 Corinthians 2:16). We have not been given the spirit of fear, but of power love and a clear thinking mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The helmet of salvation protects those that have done their homework in renewing their minds with God’s way of thinking. There’s no fear in God’s way of thinking. There’s no tolerance for defeat in God’s way of thinking. There’s only victorious living the way God sees us. Putting on the whole armor of God covers us for going forward. There is no protection for our backside because we should be advancing forward, and not running away to get shot in the back by Satan’s flaming arrows. Put on the helmet of salvation and leave it in place until further notice.

Our faith in God and His word (the Bible), is everything we need for victorious living. Faith can act as a shield against the enemy. Quenching all the flaming arrows of the evil one Satan. Satan hates God, and God’s creation, us. He can’t get to God, so he sets out to attack us. The Lord has not left us helpless or defenceless. The armor of God was given for this reason. The Sheid of faith acts as our guard against all negativity, all fear, and physical attacks. Just like the movie “The Matrix”, the more Neo believed, the more powerful he became. We are only limited by our belief system and the belief material. If we could simply take the Lord at His word and trust everything He says will come to pass. We must believe in, trust in, and rely upon His word coming to pass in our personal lives when we speak it out. Circumstances, crisis, and evil strategies will be void of ability to conquer your strong, ever increasing faith. To extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, our faith must be strong. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). The more we apply ourselves to meditating in His word day and night, we’ll make our own way prosperous (Joshua 1:8). Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6), He knows the only way He can help us is by us invoking our will, (because we have free will God won’t override that). Ask, and you shall receive, knock and the doors will be opened to you. The shield of faith will hold.

‭Standing firm in the Lord can be easier said than done at times. As we stand on the word of God for all life’s issues we begin to live above the evil in this world. We will always have challenges as long as there’s breath in our lungs. To live for Christ is standing firmly on the word of God. We have been given the armor of God to support our stance in Christ. Our feet must be fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Always having a right now word from God to give to anyone at a moment’s notice. Standing firm in the Lord is an outward sign to Satan, his crew, and the Angels of God, that you’re not playing games. With the Sword of the Spirit buried deep in our hearts (which is the word of God), we can call on the name of Jesus, in which every knee shall bow to, and draw our swords and cut Satan and his cohorts. Cut him deep, so he’ll think twice before messing with you again. We can grow into the posture of the fullness of God where the devil can’t tell the difference between you and Jesus (Ephesians 3:19). Stand firm like a bulldog on a bone, and don’t let go. Open your mouth and let God’s word come out of it with great intensity, with a loud decreeing and declaring pronunciation of scripture verse that suits your needs. If you believe what you’re confessing out loud, you’ll have it, good or bad, whatever words are coming out of your mouth, eventually you’ll have what you’ve been saying all along. Speak the word of God and stand your ground.

The armor of God is for the army of the Lord. If you’re saved, you are a Christian, you’re in the army of the Lord, you may not know this. Our enemy has come to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), Jesus came so that we might have life, and have life more abundantly. The armor of God is; The Belt of Truth, which keeps us honest as long as we keep the belt tightened around our waist. The Breastplate of Righteousness displays our right standing with God for protection. Having our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospel of Peace, which is a necessary piece of armor. The Shield of Faith stops all falsities from being expressed, unbelief and fear are blocked along with every flaming arrow of the evil one. The Helmet of Salvation covers our foundational beliefs in Jesus. The last piece of armor is for going on the offensive in backing down the enemy. It is the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Every word of God is not without power to perform that which it was sent to accomplished (Luke 1:37). Our enemy Satan, will only back down from us when we speak out loud, the rightly divided scripture verse for your situation. You must know, and trust the word of God for yourself. Our armor could have holes in it due to lack of maintenance. Stay in the word of God, and the word of God will stay in you. Boom!

Most times when we have discourse with another person concerning their issues or unwanted drama, there’s a third party behind the scenes of their problems. That third party is the master spirits who are the rulers of this world’s system, they demonically influence this world’s way of doing things. The principalities and powers of the air are sent out by Satan himself to stir up trouble in our lives. Since we are dealing with unseen forces, we must learn to fight in the spirit realm. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of those strong holds the enemy puts in place against us (2 Corinthians 10:4). Our supernatural weapons have divine power to demolish strongholds in our lives. The person who steps to us with heated words of offense, more than likely could be getting battered by those principalities and powers of the air. If we would not be reactionary to an obvious offense against us, but wait and hear them out to listen for a possible cry for help in their tone. The offense may not be against you personally but that person could be just in a lot of pain, and this is how they’re trying to get rid of it. The struggle is real, but it’s not against flesh and blood. Pick up your weapons, get familiar with them, and fight! Your weapons are found in (Ephesians 6:13-18).

The armor of God is our protection against our enemy. Each piece of armor has a distinct purpose and means of defense against temptation and evil. The first piece of armor is the belt of truth. Building our lives on truth solves many self inflicted problems, and saves us from having to maintain the lies we’ve told in the past. Jesus is the way the truth and the life (John 14:6). Building our foundation on Him is a solid choice for victory. The breastplate of righteousness shows the enemy we are in good standing with God, which shield us from every arrow of persecution our enemies throw at us. The next piece of armor is having our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Going into all the world and preaching and teaching the good news (social media). The shield of faith is a vital piece for protection. It will extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. The helmet of salvation is to protect us from agitating spirits and moral conflicts, the gospel is the unshakable foundation of our lives once we believe. The last piece of armor is, the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. The sword of the spirit is for offensive maneuvers, such as using the name of Jesus and the power of God’s word on your lips to command your spiritual enemies to stand down. They will respond to the faith filled word of God from the mouth of a believer. Put on the full armour of God. Once it’s in place, there will be no disgrace.

The Angel told Mary that Jesus had risen from death and that He no longer lays in the tomb. After the third day of defeating death and hell, He rose up in all power and authority. Jesus won back our rightful position with God after Adam and Eve dropped the ball in the Garden of Eden. Just like Jona was in the belly of the whale for three days, so was Jesus in the belly of the earth for three days, until Justice was satisfied. Justice needed to be satisfied, so mankind could be brought back into the Lord’s sheepfold, His family. Sin entered this world because of disobedience to God’s instructions, and commands. Because of the blood of Jesus that was shed for the sin of the entire world population, we can be free from habitual sin. Once Jesus comes into our hearts we can live above the evil in this world. By not responding to the temptations of sin. We cannot resist without the Lord’s help, forget about that being possible. Even today after being a Christian for many years, I still must contend with sin in the world, and the sin nature still in my body. Paul the apostle said he must keep his flesh under everyday (1Corinthians 9:27). Our human spirits have been redeemed, not our bodies. Renewing our minds with God’s word will give us the understanding on how to keep those inordinate desires of our bodies at bay. Jesus died, was buried, and rose from the dead. No other person has done this on our behalf as a mediator for us, as an attorney for us, our go-between us and Father God. Because Jesus got up from death we have been resurrected with Him into a whole new life. Happy Resurrection Day!
