Praise Be To the Lord, Our Invisible Life Support

The Lord bears our burdens on a daily basis. Many times we get through hard stuff because God’s been helping us even though we don’t realize it’s Him behind the scenes. If the Lord would remove His grace and favor from us we’d all be in worse shape and many in horrible shape if not for the Lord. Jesus is our Savior from having to go to hell and personally pay for our own sins. He died for the sins of the entire world (1 John 2:2). All sin that has been committed and for all future sin not yet committed by mankind is covered. That’s the power of Jesus’ blood to remit sin altogether once and for all. Jesus the Savior can also save us from much unnecessary trouble, and drama that goes along with life. There’s a way to live above the evil in this world provided by the Lord (John 17:15). Living for Jesus will eradicate all potential evil you’re not participating with, and keep you safe. We have a part to play in allowing the Lord to bear our burdens. His yoke is easy and His burden is light, so cast your care on Him (Matthew 11:28-30).

When You’re Weak, God’s Strength Will Rise Up

Many times we go through that feeling of drudgery, and weakness when we are truly out of mental, and physical strength. Once your level of strength has dropped down to where insults, persecutions, hardships, and difficulties become unbearable, that’s when the Lord’s strength can be made perfect, more mature in us. When we get to that feeling of “I don’t care anymore”, then the Lord has clear passage to help us, because you are no longer in the way, doing it in your own strength. Paul in this scripture verse is telling the Corinthians when you are weak, then you can switch over being totally in faith trusting the Lord for strength (Ephesians 6:10). So we can actually delight in our weaknesses knowing we are made stronger in Christ by faith believing. 90 percent of all sicknesses, and diseases are psychosomatically induced. And once the doctor tells us what’s wrong with us we believe him like there’s no other choice in life. Renewing our minds with God’s word gives us the right psychosomatic outcome for health and healing in our lives. When you are weak, then are you strong.

Riches, Honor, and Long Life Without Bank Robbery

True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life. Instead of chasing riches, honor, and power, Chase after God with a hunger that beckons the Lord’s intervention for whatever you need. Once we’ve conquered our unruly flesh, with its inordinate desires, we can become humble, more God fearing and begin the long life program for planet earth. It’s not just eating right and getting proper exercise which is important, but our relationship with the Lord is the foundation for all life to flourish and have quality while living (1 Timothy 4:8). The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). So our referential fear of God puts us in a place of victorious living. To have a victorious lifestyle we must have the means and the strategy. The means comes from God, every need has been supplied according to God’s riches in Glory, which is more than enough (Philippians 4:19). The strategy for victorious living on earth is found in the study of God’s word and then putting that knowledge into practice in your daily life. True riches must be understood first before they can be obtained. Humility has a reward; riches, honor, and long life.

Clothe Yourself Properly and Get Busy

As God’s chosen people we should clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. This is Paul speaking to the Colossians long ago. It is still the Lord’s requirement because we are His own hand picked representatives who are purified and holy and well-beloved by God Himself. Our representation of God for this world must line up as closely as possible with the Lord’s character and integrity being shown in our behavior. It is our responsibility to put on this new and improved character which is based on our study of God’s word. “Meditate in this book of the law day and night and you will make your own way prosperous” (Joshua 1:8). We must take the time to grow in kindness, humility, gentleness, compassion, etc. These qualities were placed in our new recreated human spirits at the time we became Christians (Galatians 5:22-23). Most christians don’t do the work of growing up in Christ, they slide into heaven with nothing to offer the Lord like a crown to be thrown at His feet (1 Corinthians 9:25 CSB). Because their work on earth for God was never completed, matter of fact, it has never even been started by some of us. God needs us to be kind, gentle, patient, and compassionate for starters.

To Impress Always is Bondage, and Selfishness is Worse

We are instructed to be humble and value others more than yourselves. We should think highly of ourselves but not more highly than we ought to (Romans 12:3). The pride meter is the word of God working in our lives, which is designed to help keep us in check. By the Lord’s wisdom operating in us, we can stay humble (Proverbs 9:10). Some time or other we all have tried to impress people for our personal gains in life. Our demeanor should show the peacefulness of God right on our faces. Interesting how some people look worn out, beaten down from life’s struggles, and other people have a mostly wrinkle free face, and the presence of peace and calmness is on their facial expressions as well. Not being selfish and not trying to impress others can open a back doorway to success. We are totally free when we can give to people not expecting anything in return (Proverbs 19:17). Encouraging others and lifting them up in a positive way is being humble and treating someone with the respect you’d want to receive for yourself.

When You’re Feeling Guilty Don’t Ignore It

Condemnation can be a life blocker. When we feel condemnation it’s normally because of an action we’ve done that brought guilt. The only reason a faith believing Christian would have condemnation is because they are not walking after the dictates of the Spirit. Walking according to the flesh is like walking with a constant reminder of our fallen nature before getting saved. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who walk and live habitually according to the Spirit. The teachings and precepts of God’s word gives us guidelines of how to walk according to the Spirit. We are enundated with everything there is to keep us off our game of living right with God. Our enemy knows if he can only get us thinking we’re not right with God through condemnation, then he’s doing his job. In most cases we are good with the Lord in spite of our thoughts. The more knowledgeable of God’s word we are, the less Satan can hang over of heads, and accuse us of successfully (Revelation 12:10). Condemnation only works on people that don’t have the knowledge to understand the truth about themselves as per God. Keeping our flesh under control is a daily thing.

    Let The People Calm Down

The peace God gives is a gift the world cannot give. Look at all of the unrest in this USA after our election of a new president. The arguing back and forth, the almost fist fights over whose candidate wins. God has called us to peace (1 Corinthians 7:15). As we christians participate with the world’s bickering, fear and anxiety, we won’t be participating with the peace of God in our lives. If you have decided to live for the Lord, how can the President or any person negatively affect your life directly. Believe God for your continued success and freedom from this world’s limitations (Don’t forget, we are ambassadors for Christ, not permanent residence of this world, why are you caught up and concerned like them). Jesus prayed to Father God long ago, ” I pray you don’t take them out of the world but keep them from the evil one in this world” (John 17:15). If there’s evil being dished out by any President or world leader, we Christians that don’t get caught up with the politics and this world’s ways, are blessed from the mess of this world. Don’t forsake the gift of peace God gave you, and you must fight to keep it alive in you. Remember; we are in this world but not of it (John 17:16).

If We Could Just Live Together in Unity

Coming together with the body of Christ is necessary for the edification of the church. We are dependent upon each other for proper growth in the kingdom of God. The Bible says, “Forsake not the assembling of yourselves together” (Hebrews 10:25). It is good and pleasant when God’s people come together. Coming together in unity can be a bit more involved than just coming together. We all have individual gifts and talents that are dependent on someone else’s gifts and talents to help complete our assignments from the Lord. Being on one accord is important for the Lord to move on our behalf more mightily. The power of mankind coming together, especially christians is an unstoppable force. Back in the days of the Tower of Babel mankind was totally in agreement with each other (Genesis 11:1-9). God said whatever they imagine they can do, so He confused their language so they wouldn’t understand each other. Their motive coming together was based on evil. Our motive coming together should be based on servitude and edifying each other.

Bad Thoughts Come, but They Don’t Have to Stay

Sometimes we have to shift our thinking over to better thoughts. Our minds can become overloaded at times. Anytime we go through a bad situation or a challenging circumstance, our minds get real busy. At this time we will be offered, fear, confusion, doubt, anxiety, worry, etc. This is when we should be thinking about whatever is true, noble, pure, lovely, admirable, and what is right. On these things we are admonished to think on, during our mental battles. Change the channel in your mind to happy thoughts, maybe some great times you’ve had with family and friends in the past. We have to guard not only our hearts but our minds as well. We cannot control the thoughts that come into our minds, but we can bring those thoughts into subjection to the word of God (2 Corinthians 10:5). That’s why it is vitally important to renew our minds with God’s thoughts (Romans 12:2). Renewing our minds with the word of God gives us a mental rule book as to how we’re supposed to handle the thoughts that come. So cast down every thought, every high thing that tries to exalt itself above the knowledge of God’s word.

Kindness Begats Kindness, and Evil Thrives on More Evil

We all know what can happen when we pay someone back evil for evil. A bad situation will get worse as we participate with the age old “tit for tat” get even behavior. Repaying evil for evil only breeds more evil. You are playing in the devil’s playground by his rules as you yield to that temptation of, “They started it and I’m going to finish it!” God said, I will repay when someone comes against you wrongfully, especially when you’re involved with the Lord’s business (Romans 12:19). Always seeking to do good to everyone is the ultimate goal in growing our faith. Because it will take faith to deal with some of the unreasonable folk in our lives. Our aim as Christians should be to show kindness to everyone and especially to the household of faith, God’s people (Galatians 6:10). Practicing this kindness many times opens up opportunities to share the gospel. I’ve seen in many cases how my wife, who is more of a people person by nature, through showing kindness has opened many a hurting heart to receive God’s love. Through kindness I’ll suffer something I wouldn’t normally allow myself to, for the sake of the kingdom of God. As we always seek to do good to everyone, we plant a seed of kindness and goodness that will come back to us at a time it is vitally important, and necessary.
