When Will You Come Clean? Face The Music And Get Right!

“Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” The verse today is talking about confessing our sins to each other and to pray for each other. Who wants to go first? Exactly, most of us are not looking forward to talking about what we’ve done that’s now shameful to us, or we’re feeling guilt and condemnation from the wrong doings we did. But the way out of those negative feelings and guilt is to come clean. Confess your mess-ups to people you trust won’t go blabbing it all over town. Someone you can confide in that knows the Lord for themselves, that’s the person to spill your guts to. There is always a cleansing of the soul as we get stuff off our chest that’s been bothering us for so long. God hears and receives heartfelt repentance from everyone. Once you’ve gotten the junk out of your life, it’s prayer time. Now with a true repentance of heart, you can pray and the wrong doings you committed before have been washed away so that now God can hear your prayer without the sin in your life, which was blocking Him from helping you. This is the way to be healed. The prayer of a righteous man or woman is powerful and effective.
