David knew the Lord would not abandon him to hell. Those of us who are in right standing with God will not be going to hell after death on earth (Hebrews 6:11). We can be glad and have comfort knowing where our souls will end up after these bodies go back to the earth. Having the surety of knowing your final destination is very comforting. Then again many people aren’t thinking about the next age of life because they’re too caught up and bound to this one (Matthew 12:32). There is life after death whether we believe it or not.
