In Step With the Spirit

When our conduct is controlled by the Spirit, we should keep in step with the Spirit. We do that by following our inner man, that gut feeling, it’s sometimes known as intuition. Those gut feelings or the leading of that still small voice in the core of our being is where God communicates with us. We can only live by the Spirit if we understand God’s will, because the two should agree. The Spirit of God cannot speak in opposition to God’s word, or His will. So it’s time for more study to show ourselves approved by God, and become more sensitive to His leadings (2 Timothy 2:15). We walk by faith not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7), meaning we may well not know why we’re about to do what we’re about to do, or how but follow that gut feeling without ocular proof. It can feel scary but the more we act on it the more we’ll be in step with the Spirit. Living by the Spirit requires much discipline and practice. If our fellowship with the Lord is low and almost inactive, you will not be living by the Spirit nor will we be capable of keeping in step with the Spirit. Living by the Spirit is pretty much living in line with the original plan of God for mankind before the fall in the Garden of Eden. Get to stepping folks, walking by faith in your belief of God’s word.
