Give Thanks to the Lord, and Proclaim His Greatness!
David speaks here of giving thanks to the Lord and proclaiming His greatness. David walked very closely with God. During his battle against Goliath, and before killing the giant, he slade the bear, and a lion for practice. God had to be with David who at the time was still a young boy. He had good reason to give thanks to the Lord and to proclaim God’s greatness in himself. We are to let the whole world know of the greatness of the Lord. Spreading the good news of the gospel and doing the work God called us to do. Giving thanks to the Lord helps keep us in the faith zone of trusting somebody we can’t physically see. Our faith is always accentuated and regularly refreshed by staying connected to God verbally as well. We release our faith by confession of God’s word on our lips. Giving thanks tells God you believe He’s listening and that He’s actually there. Knowing without ocular proof can only be by faith in what you blindly believe, and trust with all of your heart. With this kind of conviction in trusting, your five senses don’t matter anymore, and have no part to play in the decision making of any important event, campaign, or crisis. You are now walking on water with Jesus not phased by the wind, the storms of life, or anything anymore because you have found the secret to victorious living. Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim His greatest.
