He First Loved Us
Since God loved us first, we love Him and find our every need being taken care of by Him because of His love. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (John 3:16). You could say based on the principle of seedtime and harvest God planted his Son as a seed to take care of our greatest need, by allowing Him to be crucified on a cross. The greatest need of mankind whether known or not, is our freedom from habitual sin. Without changing our fallen nature, our heart (which was spiritually dead to God), we can never hope to be or to do anything of significant value for mankind or God. Loving God back is to keep His commandments (1 John 5:3). The Lord loved us even when we were His enemy. Anyone that has not received His Son for their own personal sacrifice for sin, will not be a part of God’s family, and remain His enemy. What’s worse is, after death the enemy of God will be taking their part in hell repaying justice for all the sin they’ve committed. Receiving God’s seed of love into our lives brings with it freedom from wrong doings, and a life of more peaceful surroundings. God is love and we are love children of a love God. Make Him proud and act like it.
