Worry Is Here to Stay, But it Can Be Mastered with God’s Word
Worry weighs a person down, but an encouraging word cheers a person up. To be around people that are constantly worrying, and full of anxiety, that anxiety and worry will attach itself to you. We are programmable humans that will be controlled one way or another, it’s how we’re built. Whatever we are constantly exposed to, it will rub off on us. Unless we are built up in Christ to the point we become the affecting entity of another’s soul with what we carry in our hearts and extends to our demeanor. Daily quality fellowship with the Lord is a necessary lifestyle to reinforce our position in Christ. We need to become aware that God is like electricity, once it’s turned off or there’s a short in the circuit board, the functioning of the product doesn’t work properly or not at all. Our pipeline to God can become clouded, clogged or disconnected altogether. Basically, without God we can do nothing of sustaining worth or value that truly matters (John 15:5). Worry is a very real thing that won’t go away, so we must master it with God’s word. We as Christians should be on the side of giving an encouraging word that cheers up others. We are the salt of the earth, and we must stay salted. It won’t happen on its own (Matthew 5:13). If we don’t stay salted, the verse says it is good for nothing and to be trampled underfoot by men. We are good for nothing without God’s constant input into our lives. Otherwise we will be influenced by this world’s demonic system automatically. Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down but an encouraging word makes it glad.
