To be Ashamed is To be lacking in knowledge About Who You Truly Are
Paul declared he was not ashamed of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Knowing it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes. The key to salvation is obtained by believing, using our faith in what is being taught concerning the Lord. God gives faith to every person to believe the truth of the gospel. In that moment, a decision must be made about whether or not you want the Lord in your life. If He’s not in your life down here on planet earth, He won’t be in your life once your body dies. The point of salvation is so you can skip dying and going into hell to make payment for your sins. The payment due for all your wrong doings will be on you personally to satisfy the Halls of Justice. By receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life here and now, you bypass the punishment zone of hell, and you’ll go straight to heaven to be with the Lord. This power of the gospel can save the meanest, most angry, most despicable, evil person there is, and convert them into something completely opposite of their former lifestyle. Paul wrote this passage of scripture to the Romans with such an adamant attitude full of positive Godly motive. He was not ashamed in the least. Once we’ve lived through life’s worst storms and crisis, and you know how God’s power has kept you through it all, then we can say with true belief, I am not ashamed of the gospel.
